Shannon Dunn is a certified Spanish teacher with close to three decades of teaching experience, including 23 years at John Stark Regional High School in Weare. He also worked for Parker Tutoring for 7 years. He grew up in Concord, NH, and holds a BA in Spanish with a minor in music and a Master of Education in Curriculum & Instruction.

Shannon co-coordinated JSRHS’ Mentor Program for new teachers, led the NEASC accreditation committee, was an assistant hockey coach and served as a student Class Advisor for several years. He has led and co-led numerous student trips to Spain, Portugal, Morocco, Italy, Greece, France and Costa Rica, and has designed courses featuring in-country field experience for academic credit.

He also organized a Music Workshop series for JSRHS’ Intercession program, for which students wrote and publicly performed their music. He is a member of the New Hampshire Association of World Language Teachers and created John Stark’s chapter of the Spanish Honor Society. When not at school, Shannon enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, playing guitar, designing stone walls and hardscapes, and gardening.
