Skills and Strategies

For Rising Juniors and Seniors

Students will learn the components of the SAT, as well as test-taking strategies and related skills. The class will also include practice-test sessions and recommendations for further study. Students will have the chance to meet with Parker’s college-planning team and ask questions about the college process.

Dates: July 11-August 3, Tuesday and Thursday nights, 6 pm to 8 pm.

College Essay Intensive:

Where and How Do I Start?

For Rising Seniors

For many students, the essay is the most daunting element of the college application process. In this supportive two-session class, students will define their values, brainstorm essay topics, freewrite, and learn how to move from idea to draft. We will also discuss the Common App, going over its components, and talking about supplemental essays.

Dates: August 8 and 10, 5 pm to 7:30 pm. Two sessions
